Learn how to make your own glass paperweight or flowerÂ
The class is 2.5 hours longÂ
Participants will learn how to handle, alter and shape hot molten glass on an iron rod known as "Pontil Iron" (aka rod or pipe)
- The glass blower will give a comprehensive demonstration including shop orientation and safety briefing
- One by one each participant will have an opportunity to replicate what they have learn and replicate their own paperweight.
Works are ready to be picked up 24-48 hours after the workshop due to the cycle of our annealing ovens. Horizon's staff will "cold work" (grind and polish) the pieces as requiredÂ
